Your One-Stop Source for Online Ag Resources!

At Central State Bank, we’re proud to be the area’s ag banking leader. We have a larger agricultural loan portfolio than any other bank in our market, and supporting the credit needs of Muscatine-area agribusinesses and producers is a vital part of our business. Moreover, as part of the Central Bancshares family, we have the financial resources to cover just about any borrowing need for any size operation in Muscatine and the surrounding counties.

Beyond loans, you can count on us to lead the way ---- in terms of financial commitment, volunteerism, and more --- to help nurture and support our area’s ag community. The future of agriculture is important to us, and it shows!

Today, more than ever before, agribusiness is reliant on technology and up-to-the-minute information.  Here are links to some great online resources.  We hope you'll find them useful and enjoyable.

You can look to us for expert assistance and advice in handling your investments and setting aside money for future goals, including your retirement years.

We can also help when the time comes to start considering the future of your operation. Working closely with your accounting and legal advisors, we’re able to use a wide variety of tools --- including trusts --- that can help you implement a well-planned succession strategy to pass your operation on to your heirs, or to facilitate an exit strategy that might include a sale to a third party.

Each year in February, we’re proud to partner with the Lee Agency of Muscatine to present the annual Crop Insurance and Ag Expo. With an average attendance that typically ranges from 200-250 area ag producers, this day-long event dates back to 1992 and is currently held at the spacious Calvary Commons facility on Muscatine’s north side. It features a good mix of large group sessions and smaller breakout presentations, all designed to help producers learn more and earn more from their operation. Attendance is by invitation only --- another good reason to bank with us!
We believe that investing in our young people is one of the most important things we can do for the future of agriculture. Beginning in 2007, we’ve served as the exclusive sponsor of the Premier Exhibitors Scholarship Program at the Muscatine County Fair. Each year $2,100 is awarded to deserving 4-H and FFA fair participants. Administration of the program, including the evaluation of potential candidates and the determination of scholarship recipients, is handled solely by our partner, the Muscatine County Ag Extension office.
As you can probably imagine, each year we’re approached by a number of organizations seeking funding for a wide variety of worthwhile programs and projects. While we’re not in a position to fund all of them, we are certainly known to reach for the corporate checkbook on a regular basis. One of our largest single donations --- and one that makes us particularly proud --- is a $100,000 commitment that was used to help build Muscatine’s Ag Learning Center.
