Remote Deposit

Xpress Capture (the name of our Remote Deposit Capture product) is a special service for businesses that enables you to capture images of checks and similar items, then deposit them electronically to your firm’s account without the need to visit the bank.  It’s simple, easy to learn, and easy to use.  All that’s needed is an Internet-enabled PC with browser and a check scanner, and some guidance from one of our bankers. Xpress Capture can save time, save money, reduce posting errors, reduce trips to the bank, free up your staff and simplify your life!   Further information is provided below.  If you have questions or would like to get started now, contact Geri Hutchings, Cash Management Specialist at our Main Bank, by clicking on the photo to the left:

Xpress Capture uses a special desktop scanner, designed especially for checks, that’s connected to your personal computer and the Internet.  With it, you can scan checks received from customers and then transmit the items electronically to the bank, anytime day or night.
1)  Scan checks from any desktop at any location.  Using a special desktop check scanner, simply scan both sides of the checks in a single pass.
2)  Prepare the deposit.  Images of each scanned check can be viewed on your PC, and your deposit is automatically prepared.  You have the opportunity to make adjustments and revisions if needed.
3)  Transmit it to the bank.  When you’re satisfied that your deposit is ready to go, simply transmit it to the bank via the secure Internet connection.
4)  We e-mail confirmation and process your deposit.  Shortly after transmittal, you’ll get an e-mail to confirm receipt and let you know when your deposit will be processed.  Deposits received before the 4:00 p.m. cutoff time are usually posted the same business day. 

Xpress Capture pricing is geared toward the unique needs of your organization and is based, in part, on your check deposit volume.  It’s fairly straight-forward and includes these items:

  • Panini®  MyVision Scanner with the option to lease or buy. 
  • Set Up and Support Fees to install the equipment onsite at your business, train your staff, and make sure that everything is up, running, and continues to run to your satisfaction.
  • Monthly Processing Fees based on the number of deposits and checks transmitted.  At your option, these costs can be rolled into your account analysis calculation and may be offset.

  • PC with Microsoft®  Windows®  XP  or Vista®  O/S
  • 1GB of RAM (recommended minimum)
  • USB 1 or 2 port (2 is recommended)
  • Panini®  MyVision scanner (buy or lease from us)
  • Internet connection (high speed recommended)
  • A checking account with Central State Bank

Enrollment Sequence:

  • Contact Geri Hutchings in our Commercial Banking Department
  • She’ll review your needs, then provide you with a customized recommendation and price quote
  • A written agreement is executed with the bank, typically for a four-year term
  • We install your equipment, train your staff, and get things up and running to your satisfaction
  • Total turnaround time is usually less than a week
